Year 1's had a fantastic trip to the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington. They enjoyed the sunshine on their walk and whilst they ate lunch in the museum’s dazzling garden. Their workshop took them on an adventure through different countries of the world, (much like the explorers they have been learning about this term). They saw ancient artefacts from India, Japan, and China. They remembered that the famous explorer Ibn Battuta had journeyed to many of these countries in his early expeditions. A great day out!
Year 8's also spent an enjoyable morning sketching at the V&A last week while working on improving their observational drawing skills. A number of different artefacts captured their attention, in particular, the Japanese masks and Samurai swords.
