Music News!

Music News!

Congratulations to all of our musicians on their end-of-term concert performances.  We have really enjoyed the usual diverse range of instruments from drums to the piano and everything in between, and hearing contributions from beginners as well as our more experienced players.

If you don't already have the dates in your diary, the final two concerts are:

Guitar concert - Friday 19 March 5.15pm

Voice, clarinet, saxophone, flute and violin concert - Thursday 25 March 5.15pm

In other news, we are delighted to congratulate Dr. Jessica Zhu, one of our resident piano teachers, who has recently successfully passed her doctoral viva at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, awarding her the degree of doctorate in music performance. Her research on composer Maurice Ohana's piano music and problem solving the performance issues have wider impact on interpretation and understanding music.
