Prep School

At The Hampshire School Chelsea, our pupils build on their academic and holistic achievements from their time in Pre-Prep. Our pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and strive for excellence to prepare them for their destination schools at the end of Year 6.

Our specialist teaching in the curriculum is designed to support and challenge our pupils in achieving their aspirations, promote high academic standards and enable them to become successful and confident adolescents who share a passion and enjoyment for learning.

Life Beyond The Hampshire School

To enable success when sitting the 11+ assessments, we ensure that our programme of study is updated and in line with current educational thought and developments within the National Curriculum and ISEB syllabus. Pupils are frequently assessed, providing diagnostic insights into the individual’s strengths and weaknesses, enabling our teachers to tailor their lessons to specific areas and encourage all to thrive and master complex and abstract concepts in their learning.

These termly assessments are further opportunities to prepare pupils for the 11+ as they allow pupils to practice their exam technique whilst growing in confidence to sit and excel in external examinations.
