Stretching our Pupils with Atom Learning

Stretching our Pupils with Atom Learning

At the Hampshire School Chelsea, we are passionate about bringing learning to life and ensuring that teaching and learning methods in the classroom challenge pupils in innovative and accessible ways. The academic rigour of our Inspire Maths curriculum, together with the ISEB curriculum in the preparatory school, is designed to deepen understanding and accelerate learning beyond that of the National Curriculum and we do this by individualising learning opportunities and tailoring each lesson for each pupil. An education platform we are passionate about is Atom Learning, combining the very best in digital pedagogy whilst maintaining that all-important direct teaching time between pupil and adult. Atom Learning questions adaptively, using a range of styles for each child depending on the topic, with a common starting point that alters the level of challenge throughout the lesson depending on the minute by minute understanding of the pupil. We have seen first-hand how this approach allows each pupil to have ownership of their learning and be stretched beyond their current understanding every minute of the lesson. Ask your child about Atom Learning and how both at home and at school it helps deliver the academic rigour we work so hard for here at The Hampshire School Chelsea.
