Senior Schools Fayre

It was with immense pride that we welcomed parents and our senior school colleagues to the inaugural Senior Schools Fayre at The Hampshire School Chelsea on Monday 16 September. The inspiring response to our invitation to attend the event by the leadership and admissions departments of senior schools, and our school community, confirmed the importance of a smooth and successful transition to future schools, and the considerable interest from senior schools in attracting our pupils to their educational contexts. We thank the twenty-one schools for taking the time to attend the event.

We were also delighted that the bespoke Senior School Transition booklet, written specifically for our school community, was very well received and is viewed as a useful aide memoire for parents navigating the 11+, 12+ and 13+ examinations and admissions procedures in London and the Home Counties. 

The opportunity for the senior schools to showcase what makes their school special in a 30 second statement was immensely helpful to parents and colleagues at The Hampshire School Chelsea. If asked “What makes our school special”, we would say the ethos, care and focus on individual pupil progress supported by our five Core Value of Respect, responsibility, Resilience, Community and Excellence, our growth mindset approach to learning that empowers every child to take risks in their learning and be challenged. We are committed to working in partnership with parents to achieve our aspirational aims and the breadth of opportunity through the 60+ extra-curricular activities on offer each week which is a notable value-added quality. Our school motto, Alte Spectemus, reflects our focus on exceptional teaching and learning with pupils aiming high and striving for academic and personal excellence.
