Year Three and Four pupils this week explored the importance of nature as a way to improve their mental health and wellbeing. As part of this exercise, the children enjoyed bringing a little of the outside, inside.
The children harnessed their new-found horticultural skills and created mini edible-gardens that they can continue to cultivate. They were proud to watch their seedlings grow and recognised the huge benefit and privilege of being able to go outside and play in the park, take a walk outdoors or just enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. It was a wonderful reminder for the children to show respect for nature, the world we live in whilst underpinning our core value of respect.
