Resilience, community, excellence, respect and responsibility are the core values that form the backbone of The Hampshire School. These values are delicately woven into every sphere of school life, creating the warm, nurturing and caring family environment that The Hampshire School prides itself on. ‘Pupil Voice’ was introduced as one of the Hampshire’s key development areas where children feel listened to, empowered, valued and respected by all members of the school community. The different development groups are Eco, Community, Mind Body and Soul, Innovative Technology, Houses and Food. Pupils gain an understanding of the wider community and exercise their curiosity and imagination alongside the traditional curriculum.
Each development group works towards an outcome. At the moment, the Eco group is developing an initiative to reduce waste which started during Waste Awareness week just before half term; they have been analysing data equating wasted kilos to pounds. This is what the Eco group have to say:
