The children visit the Hampshire School library every week, which is where they learn about the importance of reading and taking care of books. Children choose their own storybook to take home for the week and they get twenty minutes to read their story whilst in the library.
The children are frequently read rhyming stories to introduce them to poetry. They are great at answering questions and predicting the rhymes! One of the Nursery boys can do all the dog names in ‘Hairy Maclairy’.
