As part of their studies of life in Britain during the industrial revolution pupils in Year Six used the same investigative methods used by Dr John Snow and his team to solve the mystery. Using maps and fact files about some of the individuals involved, both classes revised their hypotheses to uncover the true cause of the tragedy in the Broad Street area - cholera from a pump on Broad Street.
The site of the original pump can be visited free of charge at 39 Broadwick Street, Carnaby, London W1F 9QP.
Well done detectives!
