Instrumental Brain workout

Instrumental Brain workout

When you listen to music, multiple areas of your brain become engaged and active. But when you actually play an instrument, that activity becomes more like a full-body brain workout. Director of Music, Mrs Page, recommends this video by Educator Anita Collins who explains the fireworks that go off in musicians' brains when they play and examines some of the long-term positive effects of this mental workout. Contact Mrs Page today to enquire about the wealth of instrumental lessons available to all pupils, or download an application form from the website here. https://www.ted.com/talks/anita_collins_how_playing_an_instrument_benefits_your_brain
