The evening commenced with excited families joining our head, Dr Edmonds, for drinks and canapes, before all were invited to the heart of the school; the historic Chelsea library. Dr Edmonds delivered an informative presentation to parents which detailed the school's progression plan, highlighting key areas of focus and exciting developments that lie ahead this academic year.
Parents were given advice and guidance on how to choose the best senior school for their child and how they can help to prepare their child for the transition to senior school. Dr Edmonds presented her much-valued Transition to Senior School Book that she writes each year for parents, which is available to the school community as an e-version of this via our Parent Portal.
Over 25 top senior schools from London and the Home Counties exhibited and with our colleagues from the senior schools seizing the opportunity to provide a brief introduction to parents about what makes their school special before taking the time to speak to parents on an individual basis. It was a fantastic opportunity for parents to spend time with each school, browse their prospectus and speak to the staff to get a feel for the culture and ethos of each visiting school. It proved to be an invaluable evening for all.
