The Hampshire School Chelsea entered The Bellevue Spelling Bee Competition and all pupils in Years 3-8 had the opportunity to sharpen their competitive edge by taking part.
The competition started among year groups, before whittling down to a winner of each key stage. The overall winner from Year 3 and 4, from Year 5 and 6 and from Year 7 and 8 went forward to the inter-school semi-finals. We finished the semi-finals with not one, but THREE finalists; the only school to have one semi-finalist in every category, what an achievement!
Congratulations to our finalists:
Anaya Ali Lower KS2
Nicolo Ferrer Amadesi Upper KS2
Luke Trafelet KS3.
It goes without saying that the whole school was impressed with how well the children performed. As a community, we cheered them on from our screens whilst the pupil’s peers made posters to encourage and motivate them. Well done.
