In Early Years: Community, Bear Hugs, and Exploring Space

In the Early Years, we have been getting used to our virtual learning program on Tapestry. It has been wonderful to see the work the children are producing at such a high-quality thanks to our parents supporting them at home. The children have really enjoyed the live circle times and assembly. This week in assembly we have been looking at the core value 'Community'. The children enjoyed talking about the people who help them in the school community and we all realise how much we need and miss our friends during this time. The children had great fun sending virtual 'bear hugs' to their friends and teachers through Tapestry.

The children have been enjoying exploring their new topic 'space' at home. The children have been busy exploring 2D and 3D shapes and using what they know to make and describe rockets. They have been creating space pictures and even writing a list of things an astronaut might need to take into space with him.
