The music room is filled with energy, thanks to our senior pupils who have begun their Autumn term rhythm project, studying the topic of African drumming. We are having fun exploring what the djembe drums can really do, and the range of sounds and rhythmic structures we can knit together in one ensemble piece.
We're celebrating music from different cultures, team work and in being musical, what a lot of other skills are in evidence in the pupils! The physical coordination, the ability to process a complex rhythmical language, but most importantly, aspiring to share the joy of music with an audience. We are really looking forward to the final performance.
