Reception Curriculum

Specialist teaching in all curriculum areas, is designed to support as well as challenge all pupils to achieve their aspirations, promote high academic standards and enable them to become successful and confident adolescents who share a passion and enjoyment for learning. We prepare our children for life beyond school promoting our five school Core Values: Community, Resilience, Excellence, Responsibility and Respect alongside the delivery of a rigorous and carefully structured curriculum that includes opportunities for independent enquiry, discussions, in-depth text analysis and problem solving.

Enhanced learning

Your child’s curriculum learning is enhanced by weekly French, gym, swimming, dance, ballet, music, art, ICT and library sessions with our specialist teachers.

Continuity with the Early Years section is maintained through regular moderation and transition activities. The children continue to make exceptional progress from the level of attainment reached at the end of their Early Years education.
