Education and Learning

By creating a friendly, supportive community environment, in which learning is fun and exciting, we enable children to achieve their full potential.

Our academic standards are high and we are proud of our results. However, alongside academic achievement we also encourage children to develop into caring, thoughtful people who show consideration and kindness to others.

There are four houses in the school. Children feel valued within these communities and aspire to achieve for their houses.  Children feel a sense of belonging, understand the ethos of being a team player and appreciate how their effort and commitment will have a positive effect on their house.

Core values in practice
GEMS has four core values which are intrinsic to everything we do:

  • World citizenship: empowering students with a global and local perspective by developing their awareness of different cultures and countries.
  • Universal values: accepting we are all different; recognising we are all the same.
  • Leadership: developing each student’s individuality and discovering their potential.
  • Forward thinking: developing skills for the future.
